Rule # 11: Every child has a "Hello my name is...." when it comes to eating.

If you are a parent, or if you have a parent, you know what I am talking about! Everyone has had some sort of peculiar eating rule.  If you don't think you do, then I want you to do this... 1. Grab a phone. 2. Call the person who raised you. 3. Ask them if there is a funny rule you had growing up when it came to eating.  Do that then come back and finish this post.

AHHHHHH-HA! See.... if you didn't know, now you do.  So this is how the rule goes, and I will use my children as an example:

"Hello, my name is Summer.  And I will not eat tomatoes, but loves spaghetti.  Tomato sauce is okay, as long as we don't mention the tomato part."

And this is my son's....

"Hello, my name is Noah.  I basically love everything I eat.  Except when my sister hates it then I do too.  Mmm... that's delicious.... wait... Summer hates it?  This is disgusting I want a peanut butter and jelly."

So there you have it folks... Rule #11.  Which easily could have been called the picky eater rule.  But not nearly as much fun to explain.

And here is a link to a blog that has a whole post about this rule.  Enjoy!

So many rules I just can't keep em straight...

After  a recent Facebook discussion on the rules of childhood, I decided to go against rule #1: Moms memorize all rules.  DO NOT write them down. I am gonna write them down.  So here it is.... my day to day with my children and the rules that  come up with them each and every day. And just so you know... Rule #2: Rules are subject to change.

Enjoy!
